CDL Class A Truck Driver

Position Summary
Lindamood Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety-driven CDL Class A Truck Driver to support heavy civil and demolition operations by transporting machines, equipment, tools, and materials to and from job sites. This role operates combination vehicles and plays a critical part in maintaining jobsite productivity, schedule adherence, and operational excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles, including tractor-trailers and combination vehicles
- Haul equipment and materials using flatbed, lowboy, or equipment trailers
- Transport construction and high-reach equipment, including telehandlers (up to 10K), skid steers, backhoes, boom lifts, and jobsite materials such as lumber and rebar
- Load, secure, chain, and bind equipment and materials in compliance with DOT and Lindamood Inc. standards
- Conduct detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Communicate with dispatch to ensure safe, efficient, and timely deliveries
- Identify, document, and report equipment damage, safety concerns, or mechanical issues
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and maintain clean, orderly equipment
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all proprietary, confidential, or trade secret company information
- Complete required administrative tasks, certification requirements, and safety training
Safety and Compliance
- Fully responsible and accountable for personal safety and the safety of coworkers and others encountered
- Authorized and required to stop work immediately when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observed
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Adhere to all Lindamood Inc. policies, procedures, and safety expectations
- Promptly report hazards, incidents, near-misses, or policy violations
- Participate in safety meetings, audits, and procedural reviews
- Failure to comply with safety and compliance standards may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination
Position Requirements
- Valid State-issued CDL Class A license with appropriate endorsements
- Minimum three (3) years of Class A commercial driving experience
- Strong knowledge of construction and demolition equipment
- Flatbed, lowboy, and equipment hauling experience preferred
- Local delivery and jobsite delivery experience preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required DOT medical certifications and pass drug/alcohol testing
- Basic computer and electronic logging device (ELD) skills preferred
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to properly wear and utilize required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, respirators, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear
- Ability to identify hazards, assess risk, and communicate effectively with field leadership and management
- Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately during emergency situations
- Ability to safely and promptly evacuate work areas when required
